Great for breaking the ice and entertaining people

Laugh Tactics is wonderful because it calls out comedy and being funny for what it is, which is just patterns, structures, and a different way of thinking about things.
The author gives some great examples, but the best is simply, if someone asks you how the weather is, you can choose to answer literally, or you can choose to answer in a variety of other ways... because people don't really care about that answer. It's just information they can look up, but this is a chance to engage and make people laugh that we are all not paying attention to! So many times this happens in daily work and life that we don't notice it...
But that's what Laugh Tactics is a great introduction for. It shows you those small ways you can be funnier, day by day, and not in a cheesy way. I don't want to be "that guy" when trying to be funny, so this is a great guide.

Tried lots of tactics from the book already and they've all gone great!

I loved this book and here is what is great about it. It's about ways to be sly and clever in real life, not if you are on some stage and trying to tell jokes to an audience. It's about how you can be funnier in real life with real friends and real family, not to strangers. It's great! Lots of tips on how to create those small witty remarks and comebacks that the real comedians DO use, but how to do it in everyday life.
I really liked the parts about relateable things being funny and how to misconstrue things to use for your comedic advantage. Just a great way I never thought about before and it immediately can lead to better and funnier conversations!

Really great because it provides essentially a structure for essentially being humor. Just ways to break it down, and even make it formulaic.
I'm really not a funny person by nature but I have found that just by applying some of these strategies I am getting more laughs!
Being funny on command is essentially an accurate way to put the result of this book.
Word of caution that it does take some effort and practice, but of course it does right? Chapters 4, 7, 9, and 15 were my favorites.
SOOO RECOMMENDED!
