PJ Hanley is a Pastor, Bible Teacher and Church Planter. He and his wife Kathy are the Founding Pastors of Banner of Love Church in Port Ewen, NY. PJ and Kathy minister regularly in Israel and Ireland as well as the United States and Canada. PJ and Kathy are also Healing House Ministers. They reside in Saugerties, NY and have three grown children, and eight grandchildren.

A Must Read!

A great book that confronts the "wild" teaching on grace that have unfortunately made there way into the church. P.J. Hanley does a wonderful job of bringing the Biblical perspective on grace & the law. Showing God's perfect love in grace & the law!

Clear biblical, simple explanation of grace and the law

Excellent, timely book! In the midst of error and heresy in the Church, this book stands out as a beacon of truth. Mr. Hanley clearly sets forth a biblically based case against "hyper grace" which is becoming increasingly popular in the church today. PLEASE read this if you want a true biblical explanation of grace. Mr. Hanley uses the original text to explain scripture and combat the confusion brought on by the hyper grace movement. I also thoroughly enjoyed his use of the original language to explain confusing passages of Scripture, which, it turns out, aren't confusing at all when you look at the original language used. He explains how these passages about the Law, written by Paul, did not actually condemn the Law as a whole at all, but rather upheld it and only condemned legalism. Our modern English translations can be very confusing if you don't look at the original wording or take into consideration that the Bible was written from a Jewish perspective. This is all common sense it seems, but yet biblical teachers and preachers today seem to completely throw these two facts out, and some are now taking these verses on the Law completely out of context and are twisting them to mean something they do not. Hence: Hyper Grace. Mr. Hanley will help clear all of this confusion up though, if you read this book! It's a quick read, and very engaging. I promise you will enjoy it and come away more informed and more in love with ALL of God's Word, including, "The Law."

A true eye-opener!

With all the craziness in today's world, we cannot afford to be ignorant when it comes to God's word. This book is a gift that I am thankful to have read! PJ Hanley opens our eyes to the truth of God's word regarding grace. PJ effortlessly explains why and how we cannot be swept up by all the grace "hype" that is running rampant. A must-read!
